The Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark is a popular location for regular annual events, and the entire area can house an amazing array of vehicles at various times during the year, often in conjunction with Lake wide events lasting a weekend or longer. During the Shootout in August, for example, the Strip displays some of the fastest and most impressive boats on the planet, in preparation for the Largest Unsanctioned Charity Boat Race in the county, with multiple different classes of boats competing for record times on the water, amidst weeklong festivities. Similarly, the Bikefest in September attracts motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the country to enjoy scenic rides around the Lake of the Ozarks, partake in events at over 300 biker friendly bars and restaurants, and show off their rides on the Strip for all to enjoy.

  Other, more season related events on the Lake and surrounding areas include the Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days in January to highlight, observe, and educate the public about migrating eagles in the region, and the Annual Dogwood Festival in April, celebrating it 70th year in 2021, emphasizing the magnificent dogwood blossoms decorating the landscape. The Spring and Fall also bring regular fishing competitions to the water, hosted by a variety of local businesses, some of which include significant prizes, and all of which are enjoyed by participants and spectators alike.

  Holiday events are always popular all around the Lake region, and July Fourth at Lake of the Ozarks is one of the busiest, with over ten different fireworks displays all over the Lake, and week long festivities including some form of games, races, food and music at almost every business and in every town. Memorial Day and Labor Day, at the beginning and end of the summer 'season', also draw significant crowds and feature a wide array of celebrations, although festivities on and around the Lake are year round. Other Holiday events include pub crawls for St. Patrick's Day and Mardi Gras, Easter egg hunts, and spectacular Christmas light displays in participating Lake neighborhoods, as well as parades and other holiday activities, just to name a few.
