Lake of the Ozarks is well known for its activities on the water, but there is also a wide array of land based activities that take advantage of the rolling hills, lush meadows and captivating bluffs found in the Lake region of central Missouri. Two sizeable State Parks border the Lake, with Ha Ha Tonka State Park just south of Camdenton on the Niangua arm, and Lake of the Ozarks State Park just east of Linn Creek and Osage Beach. There are also city parks and nature preserves scattered around the area, in addition to manmade 'parks' such as waterparks and off-road trails, as well as music venues, wineries, and an assortment of other sports and lake adventures. Add to that the 11 golf courses across the various Lake Cities, providing challenges for every skill level, and scenic event and conference facilities, and it's apparent why Living at Lake of the Ozarks captures the interest of so many people, both on and off the water.
