The West side of the Lake of the Ozarks is notorious for being more relaxed and laid back than the East side, yet there's no shortage of activities and properties, as the region includes two major peninsulas jutting out into the main channel, including all the waterfront facilities and dining, as well as opportunities on land, in more casual surroundings. The towns of Laurie and Sunrise Beach are to the West of the Lake, providing all the retail, business and municipal conveniences to this region, in addition to marine services and storage, along with other necessities.
